I made this a long time ago but had to get rid of photoshop. I will be getting photoshop again and getting back into this stuff. I was pretty much messing around but I am keeping this.

no lightin or shadin or depth blending needs a shit load of work as does ur compo and colours focal seems blurry so sharpen him also check out some more tuts on depth lightin etc

Keeping in mind the fact that you were messing around and probably did not really know how to use photoshop, I'll give you some good tips. But what aNime~kiNg said is a must, its very important you follow up on the things he mentioned.
One thing you got to try is to blend your signature, there are several ways to do so, what you should try and do first is to learn the use of gradient maps. They can be really helpful and it helps you blend in the colors. You should check out my signature tutorial, it shows how much gradient maps can help a final outcome.

No it wasn't. My first was just a spy with a fading background and the logo behind him. Thats it.
